Why - the pantry is stocked with items we feel would be useful to lodge guests. Often items are forgotten or are bulky. These things can prove both difficult and expensive to bring into the Lodge in the middle of winter. A blizzard day normally brings a smile to our faces but it can often prove difficult to feed the hordes when we are snowed in!
How it works - it is run on an honour system. If you see something you want or need you fill out a pantry sheet with your name and room number and the dates of your stay and mark off any items you take from the shelves. At the end of your stay the lodge captain will collect the money owed and issue a receipt.
Free - some items are included for your stay - things like sauce, salt & pepper, mustards, flours, some spices, instant coffee, tea, sugar, toilet paper, cleaning products. Many of these items are stored on the top shelf of the pantry. If you are not sure please ask the lodge captain or call me - Jan - 0411 146 288
New additions - HEINZ BIG EATs /Fully Loaded Chilli - 535 gm size - 150ml size COLAVITA OIL and Balsamic vinegar - Always Fresh Canned Prawns (Always Fresh is the brand name Shane) - John West Tempters 95 gs - great for sammy's - there is also now some 35ml Sunscreen and for those who love curry, papadams are now available.
Unfortunately the SPARKLERS have been removed from sale - if you wish to bring your own sparklers then we ask that you do NOT use them INSIDE the lodge. I will not be replenisheing the stock of Peanut Butter once this supply is depleted.
If you cannot locate any items on the pantry sheet please write these in the section headed "specials - prices as marked".

LODGE CAPTAINS are now being provided with an envelope for pantry sheets only. This will enable us to track stock levels more accurately. Remember - pantry sheets only. Keys, financials etc still go back to Stuart. Please return pantry sheets promptly.
OUT OF DATE STOCK - There are many difficulties when trying to stock the shelves of the pantry. Considering this is done twice a year, before and after winter, it can be quite a challenge. Who knows what type of season we will have - how long, how much snow, lodge usage. With this in mind please be aware there will be some stock that will go past its "best by" date.
If you do
not wish to use this stock, place it in the plastic boxes provided.
If you open this stock and then choose not to use it I ask that you STILL
mark it on your pantry sheet but at no cost. I need this
information to track stock levels to ensure the pantry is stocked for the
guests coming in after your visit.
If you happen to consume out of date stock and find nothing wrong with it please pay - remember it is your lodge. We need to make a small profit on pantry sales to pay for the use of this worthwhile convenience.
Please be aware that during the summer months not all listed stock is available.
